Use forums.embarcadero.com instead of forums.codegear.com

with 4 comments

Some people have been contacting me about the expiration of our codegear.com SSL certificate on our discussion forums server. Thanks for letting me know – we’re aware of the expiration of the certificate.

This is a great reminder and opportunity for those people still referring to forums.codegear.com to update their references to forums.embarcadero.com. In most cases, nothing will happen to your forum client – just change the URL for the server and you’ll be back up and running.

Eventually, forums.codegear.com will be going away, so I strongly recommend updating to forums.embarcadero.com now. Thanks!

  1. The issue is that google has indexed all *.codegear.com. Clicking on those links maybe scaring people away from very useful content. Isn’t it most easy to also update the certificate?

  3. The certificate has already been updated. You should still use forums.embarcadero.com. We’ll be setting up a permanent http[s] redirect for forums.codegear.com soon

  4. @Andrew – Good suggestion, but the nntp[s] traffic can’t be redirected. Only http can.
