New "home page" header links on EDN

with 4 comments

We’ve introduced a new logo for EDN as part of our standard header. With that minor redesign, I had a “duh!” moment and realized we could also create a “home page” link for the specific EDN application you’re currently using, such as Blogs, Chat, Discussion Forums, CodeCentral, Member Services, QualityCentral, and so on.

The EDN “knowledge base” is the ‘home page” of EDN, and every EDN web site has a link back to the EDN home page. Every EDN application label now has a link to the application “home page” as well. The following graphic shows this for member services:

Note: the discussion forums is missing its application label and link right now. We’ll introduce that application label and link for discussion forums soon.

  1. Hi John:
Im sorry to bother but am unable to login to EDN nor the forums. I’ve tried standar login, openid (i just get a blank page), nntp doesn’t work either (authentication rejected) and if i ask for my pwd to be emailed it is correct.
Any idea on how to solve it?

    Thanks i advance

    Michael
p.s:i can login to the beta site without a problem though

  2. Sorry you’re having trouble. What browser are you using? How are you trying to login? Are you clicking login from http://edn.embarcadero.com, or going directly to https://members.embarcadero.com, or somewhere else?

  4. Michael, I think you may have created your account on the beta site, but not created an account on EDN. AFAIK, the beta site does not yet use our single sign-on services. Please create your account for EDN by going to https://members.embarcadero.com and click on the “Join today!” link.
